Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This document is a working template that has not yet been reviewed by an attorney. It reflects how drivway operates today, but it is not legal advice and may be revised.
1. Scope
This policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone on drivway — customers and technicians alike. The platform works because customers can trust what they see; these rules protect that.
2. Honest reviews and ratings
Reviews must reflect a genuine, completed booking. Do not write reviews of your own business, trade reviews with other technicians, pay for reviews, or pressure customers to change or remove a review.
3. Genuine verification
Everything submitted for verification — ID documents, selfies, certifications, proof-of-work photos — must be authentic and yours. Submitting forged, borrowed, or altered documents results in permanent removal from the platform.
4. Respectful communication
Booking chat is for arranging the job. No harassment, threats, discrimination, or spam. Do not use contact details obtained through drivway for unrelated marketing.
5. No fraud or scams
No bait-and-switch pricing (advertising one price to book, then demanding a materially higher one for the same agreed work), no soliciting payment for work you do not intend to perform, no phishing other users, and no misrepresenting your affiliation, qualifications, or location.
6. No abuse of the platform
No scraping or bulk-harvesting profiles, no automated account creation, no attempts to bypass the technician verification gate or the security rules that protect other users’ data, and no use of drivway for anything illegal.
7. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts — permanently for fraud, fake verification, or safety issues. Where the law requires it, we may also report conduct to authorities. To report a violation, email [email protected].
